DT BG & GDT SS: Sending Sunshine

 zaterdag 27 november 2010

This Saturday there's again a challenge at Basic Grey Challenges!
This time we have a recipe for you to follow.
4 Different Types of Embellishments
3 Different Patterned Papers
1-2 Images and/or 1-2 Sentiments

You really need to check out all the amazing cards the DT team has come up with.

And this Saturday is also my last time as a Guest Designer at Sketch Saturday.
Again a great sketch to follow. I really would like to thank Sketch Saturday for giving me the chance to be part of their wonderful DT.

I used the Marjolaine paperpad for this card. I really love these colours combined. The weathter is still not working with me so the pictures had to be taken with a lamp. And so the colours are not really the exact colours. I used three DP of the pack for the recipe. I also used four embelishments: ribbon, flowers, charm and pearls. And to finish I used one image stamp and one sentiment stamp.

Stamp: Tilda by Magnolia, sentiment Hero Arts
Paper: Marjolaine by BasicGrey
Other: pearls, flowers, ribbon, charm, leavespunch, borderpunch, nestabilities

Rain

Last saturday my sisters and I went to the Kreadoe, the largest craft event in the Netherlands. When we entered the first stand my sister Leonie said she was going to buy everything she thought was great. Well I gave it some thought and concluded she made sense. So the result is I bought a lot.... and I mean a lot. And Leonie????? She did not..... But I'm really happy with all my new goodies. I bought some new Basic Grey paperpads, new Magnolia stamps/flowers/paper (Magnolia was at the fair but unfortunately didn't bring their new papers and dies...), and lots of ribbon and other stuff.
I told myself I had to do my homework first and after I had completed that I could play. And the result is this card.
The light is so limited these days, by the time I get home from work it is impossible to take a decent picture. So sorry for the quality.....

I used the Friday Sketchers sketch for this card. I also used the colours from the Our Creative Corner Colour Challenge. The paper I used is my new BasicGrey Pyrus paperpad. And the challenge at
Magnolia Down Under Challenge is to make Shabby Chic card.

Stamp: Tilda by Magnolia
Paper: Pyrus by Basic Grey
Other: pearls, thread, rhinestones, Twinkling H2O's, Ranger distress ink, borderpunch, flowerpunch, flowerthings by Magnolia, flowers

 zaterdag 13 november 2010

Yes it's Saturday again so it's time for some new challenges. I'm the Guest Designer on Sketch Saturday this month and I used their great sketch to make this card. I combined it with the Basic Grey Challenge this time which is Wings.

My spare time is kinda limited these days so I had to combine my DT duties.
Not a lot of craft time the last couple of weeks. I really had to plan it in my scedule. But I do have something great today. I'm going to the Kreadoe in Utrecht together with my two dear sisters! The Kreadoe is the largest craftfair in the Netherlands so I know I will have a great time. I promise I will tell about all the great stuff I plan on buying!

Stamp: House Mouse Dragonflying
Paper: Basic Grey Granola paperpad
Other: Perlenpen, Twinkling H2O's, pearls, laceribbon, flowers, flowerpunch, leavespunch, nestabilities

Guest Designer Sketch Saturday

 zaterdag 6 november 2010

Can you believe I've been asked to be new Guest Designer for Sketch Saturday this month! Sketch Saturday was one of the very first challenge blogs I entered so I must have used their sketches lots and lots of times!
This time the sketch has been made by the lovely Leonie as some also now is my dear sister. I really enjoyed working with this sketch.
I actually made two cards with it. I found the first card so not up to the Sketch Saturday standards so I made another one... LOL But this one I really like.

Beacause the Magnolia paper has lots of white around the edges I find it sometimes hard to work with. I don't like a big white edge on one side of the card and clean edges on the other ones. So I cut a lot of it off and used a white paint dabber to also get the white edges on the othes sides.
So now it is up to you to give it a try! You can also win some really great stamp sheets so hop over to the Sketch Saturday Blog and get more inspired by the DT.

Stamp: Magnolia, sentiment Hero Arts
Paper: Magnolia and cardstock
Other: Twinkling H2O's, leaves punch, Nestabilities, Perlenpen, pearls, flower, button, stickels, paint dabber
