Kinda busy

Wow het is behoorlik hectisch hier. School is weer begonnen en de eeste paar weken zijn altijd verschrikkelijk. Ik bedoel je moet iets van 300 leerlingen leren kennen en dan heb ik een klas met 35 leerlingen 4 havo.... dat past dus niet in het lokaal.
Leonie is nog steeds hard bezig met haar huis en ik probeer haar te helpen.
Verder ben ik bezig met het fotoalbum van onze USA reis. Het wordt een fotoalbum van Kruidvat want het past niet in een gewoon album (620 foto's). En ik ben bezig met een scrapbook van mijn vorige reis naar de USA in 2001. Ik weet het ik ben niet erg goed in scrapbooken.
Dus ook al zou ik een kaart willen maken, de tafel is al vol.
Maar ik heb er toch eentje gemaakt voor een collega.
De sketch is van Friday Sketchers, Ik heb de bright colours gebruikt van Cute Card Thursday en het tema is van Stamp Something.
Ik hoop dat ik de volgende kaart iets sneller gemaakt heb!


Wow things are kinda hectic over here. School is starting and the first couple of weeks are just crazy. Getting to know the kids, classes with to many students (isn't 35 teenagers, 15-18 years old, just not normal?) And Leonie is still working on her new house. I'm trying to help her.
Furthermore I'm working on the photoalbum from our USA trip. It is going to be simple one because I've got about 620 pictures. And I'm trying to finish my scrapbook from my previous trip to the USA in 2001. I know it is bad, but scrapbooking is not really my thing.
So even if I found some time to make a card there is no room on the table...
But I managed to make a quick one for a colleagues birthday.
The sketch is from Friday Sketchers, I used the bright colours from Cute Card Thursday and the theme from Stamp Something. Hope I will be back sooner!

I'm back!

Ik ben terug van onze USA trip. We hebben echt een geweldige tijd gehad. We hebben zoveel gezien en gedaan dat het gewoon moeilijk is om op te noemen. Dus nu moet ik de foto's inplakken. Ik ga geen scrapbook maken want daar heb ik veel te veel foto's voor.
We zijn wel in een scrapbookwinkel geweest en hebben even ingekocht. Heerlijk die lage dollar! Ik vind het ook geweldig dat je in de VS gewoon overal scrapbookspullen kunt kopen, dat is hier wel anders. Ik heb ook Derwent potloden gekocht. Ik moet er nog even mee oefenen en dan zien jullie wel een kaart er mee gemaakt.
Ik heb al een kaart gemaakt met de nieuwe spulletjes. Hij is voor mijn zus Leonie. Ze heeft een huis gekocht en vandaag de sleutels gekregen. Dat wordt dus schilderen de komende weken. Ik hoop dat ik nog tijd vind om kaarten te maken!


Well, I'm back from the USA trip. We had a really great time. We saw so much en did so much it is just hard to discribe. So the next project is to make a photoalbum. I'm not going to make a scarpbook, because we made about a 1000 pictures. I will have to cut back I know.
We did went to a scrapbook store and bougt some stuff. I love that you can buy scrapbook material everywhere in the USA. That's so much different over here!
I also got some Derwent pencils. So I will have to practice some and you will see a card with it in the future.
I made one card already. It is for my sister Leonie. She bought a house and got the keys today. So I will be doing some painting over there these next weeks. I hope I will stil have time to make cards!

USA here we come

I've mentioned my upcoming trip to the USA. Well today is the day. We are going to Schiphol airport today where we'll be spending the night and tomorrow we'll be on a plane to LA. So no cards for a long while. We've planned a lot of stamp suplies shopping so when I get back I hope I'll be able to show you some wonderful cards! LOL

new camera

Leonie heeft een hele leuke kaart van Deb gekregen voor haar verjaardag. Ik vond de sketch erg leuk dus heb ik een soortgelijk kaartje gemaakt. Ik heb de foto gemaakt met mijn nieuwe camera. Ik heb deze camera gekocht zodat ik niet steeds naar Leonie hoef om een foto te laten maken. Ze zal vast blij zijn! ;)
Maar ik heb deze camera vooral gekocht voor onze vakantie. Donderdag gaan Leonie en ik naar de Verenigde Staten!
We hebben een blog gemaakt voor familie en vrienden, zodat ze ons kunnen volgen: USA trip 2008. We hebben nu nog 3 dagen om alles te regelen, ik word wel een beetje kriebelig nu... Als iemand nog een suggestie heeft wat ik beslist moet kopen in de US (op hobby gebied) en waar ik dat moet kopen vertel het me dan graag!



Leonie received a very nice card from Deb on her birthday. I liked the sketch so I made a card inspired by it.
I made a photo with my new camera. I got his camera so I can take my own pictures from the cards instead of going to Leonie. She'll be happy!
But I also got this camera for our vacation! Thursday Leonie and I will be on a plane to the USA!
We also made a blog for our family and friends so they can follow our trip: USA trip 2008. We have only 3 days left for preperation... I'm kinda getting nervous. If any of you have any suggestions about what (craft supplies) and where to buy them in the States, please tell me!

Ismaki #25

Ik heb deze kaart gemaakt voor mijn zus Leonie. Afgelopen dinsdag was ze jarig! Ik heb de Ismaki sketch gebruikt. Dat had ik al een hele tijd niet gedaan! Maar ik vond deze erg leuk.

Stamp Something

Eindelijk heb ik een beetje tijd gevonden om een kaart te maken. Ik heb het nog steeds knetterdruk en dat gaat nog een paar dagen duren. En ik moet ook nog een paar kaarten maken voor collega's die onze school gaan verlaten. Dus jullie gaan nog wat van dat soort kaarten zien de komende tijd. Deze is voor een man die naar een andere school gaat. De tekst vind ik wel toepasselijk voor het onderwijs ;)
Ik heb ook een camera gekocht zodat ik niet steeds naar mijn zus Leonie hoef, maar hij is er nog niet....
Ik heb de sketch van Stamp Something gebruikt voor deze kaart. Ze hebben ook nog geweldige spulletjes als prijs!



Finally I found some time to make a card. Things are still crazy and will be for a couple of days. And on top of it all I have to make a few cards for colleagues who are leaving our school.This one is for a male colleague who is going to work at another school. I thought the sentiment is perfect if you work at a school ;)
So you will be seeing some more in the next few days. I also bought a camera so I don't have to go to my sister

Ik heb alleen maar spullen gebruikt die ik heb gewonnen voor deze kaard. Nou de basiskaart, de bloemen en brads zijn van mijzelf. Het papier, lint en sentiment heb ik gewonnen van Saturdays Workout en het Hangler Stangler afdrukje heb ik gewonnen bij Charlie. Ik heb de sketch gebruikt van Friday Sketchers om deze kaart te maken.


I used only stuff I won making this card. Well the base card, the flowers and brads are from my stash. The paper, ribbon and sentiment I won from Saturdays Workout and the Hangler Stangler image I won from Charlie. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers to make this card.

Ondertussen zijn er 2 meisjes geboren dus heb ik nog maar een baby kaart gemaakt in het roze. Daring Cardmakers daagt ons uit om een citaat te gebruiken op een kaart. Ik vind een citaat op een babykaartje vaak erg leuk. Ik heb deze van het internet, geen idee van wie het is. Ik heb een van Katharina's sketches gebruikt voor deze kaart.




Well, 2 baby girls were born so I made another baby card in pink. Daring Cardmakers dares us to use a quote on our card. I think using a quote on a baby card can be so nice. I got this quote of the internet, don't know the author. I used on of Katharina's sketches to make this card.

Baby cards

Er zijn een paar baby's op komst dus ben ik maar baby kaartjes gaan maken.

Voor de roze kaart ben ik geinspireerd door Lily Bean Paperie, Melissa maakt de meest geweldige kaarten dus bekijk haar blog eens. Ik stuur deze kaart in voor de Cute Card Thursday challenge. Je moet namelijk gebruik maken van patterned paper. Nou dat zit wel op deze kaart. Ik heb wel een paar stempels gebruikt en inkt om te distressen, maar dat was het dan wel.

Voor de blauwe kaart heb ik de sketch van Friday Sketchers gebruikt. Dus nu is het afwachten wat het gaat worden: jongens of meisjes.



There are a couple of births coming up so I decided to do some baby cards.

For the pink on I got inspired by Lily Bean Paperie, Melissa makes the most wonderful cards so do check out her blog. I am entering this card for the Cute Card Thursday challenge. You have to use patterned paper. Well the patterned paper is the most significant thing in this card. I did use some stamps and ink to distress but that is it.

For the blue on I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. So now just wait and see what it is going to be: boys or girls.

Wedding

Ik zou nog een foto laten zien van de doos die ik ook heb gemaakt voor de bruiloft. Ik had de kaart er in gedaan, want die paste niet meer in de envelop. Ik heb hier een schoenendoos gebruikt die ik bekleed heb met bruin inpakpapier. Over recyclen gesproken: Arty Girlz heeft een reclycle challenge!
Ik ben dus niet verdwenen, maar heb het zo onzettend druk met school. Ik ben nu bezig om examens na te kijken. Ik heb mezelf beloofd dat ik zometeen mag stoppen en een kaart mag maken. Ik kan niet uren achter elkaar nakijken, ik heb zo nu en dan even een pauze nodig.




I promised to show you a picture of the box I also made for the wedding. I put the card inside, because it didn't fit in the envelope anymore. I used a shoe box and wrapped it in brown wrapping paper. How about this for recycling! Arty Girlz has an on-going recycling challenge, check it out!
So I didn't disapear. But it is so busy at school at the moment I don't have any time to make cards. I'm correcting the final exams right now and I decided to stop in a while and make a card. I can not correct for hours and hours. I do need a break.
